Dr. Phillips is a very desirable neighborhood of the Orlando area, and it’s no question why. Dr. Phillips meets the criteria for even the pickiest of homebuyers. With access to good shopping, restaurants, and schools, it really is a perfect area for both families and singles alike.
One thing that we love about Dr. Phillips is its proximity to the tourist corridor. Businesses want to attract tourists, so this area is always booming and exciting! If you’re looking for a home in the area, many listings will boast their close proximity to Sand Lake’s Restaurant Row. This area is constantly growing, with new stores and restaurants popping up all over to appeal to all of Orlando’s visitors. We love taking advantage of all the new options, but we have a few neighborhood favorites we like to frequent if we’re looking for a quiet evening out with our loved ones.
Vines is a great neighborhood spot for locals in the Dr. Phillips area. We especially love to visit Vines during their Happy Hour because they offer their awesome specials seven days a week! From 4-7 pm, Vines offers ½ off deals on their wine and champagne by the glass, $5 cocktails, and $6/$7 premium martinis and craft cocktails. The Purple Orchid off the cocktail menu was beautifully presented and so refreshing! The Happy Hour menu also boasts a great list of discounted bar bites, with plenty of choices. We love the Wagyu beef sliders! These are the perfect size and the meat is so delicious. Be sure to try the Tuna Tartare if you like a spicy kick. Vines also offers live music, so we enjoyed the piano player while sipping our cocktails!
The absolute best part of Vines is that they offer BASKETS OF BACON in the bar area for just $5. Yes, you heard that right. Baskets. Of. Bacon. Vines cuts right to the chase and knows exactly what their dining guests truly want, and that is just straight up, crispy, delicious, salty bacon. This is such a fun and unique touch that you won’t find anywhere else!
We love the Dr. Phillips neighborhood because it’s so easy to find great local places like Vines.
